Decoding Dyslexia Policy
Introduction
Welcome to Dyslexia Decoded! By booking tutoring services with us, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before scheduling sessions.
Services
We provide personalized tutoring services for students through grade 5 in reading, writing, and mathematics. All sessions are scheduled in advance and delivered either in-person or online (as applicable).
Payment
Payment is required at the time of booking (unless otherwise arranged).
Sessions are confirmed only once payment has been received.
Scheduling
Sessions must be scheduled in advance through our booking system or directly with the tutor. In order for the tutor to be able to prepare for the week, all sessions must be booked by Sunday at 5pm for the upcoming week.
It is the responsibility of the student/parent to arrive on time. Sessions will end at the scheduled time, regardless of late arrival.
Cancelation & Refund Policy
24-Hour Notice Required: Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled session to receive a full refund or credit toward a future session.
Late Cancellations: If a session is canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice, the session will be charged in full and no refund will be issued. The only exceptions made will be due to illness or emergency that is clearly communicated with the providing tutor.
No-Shows: If the student does not attend a scheduled session without prior notice, no refund or credit will be given.
Exceptions: At our discretion, refunds or credits may be granted in cases of illness, family emergency, or other extenuating circumstances communicated promptly.
Provider Cancelation:
In the rare event that the tutor must cancel a session, you will be offered a rescheduled session or a full refund.
Code of Conduct
Students are expected to be prepared and respectful during sessions.
If homework help is requested, students must bring all materials necessary for the homework.
The progress of the student is directly linked to the child's willingness to participate in tutoring sessions. While the tutor will do their best to engage each student, if a child refuses to participate in the lesson, the tutor shall not be held responsible for lack of progress.
Should the student's behavior not provide for an effective and respectful learning environment, the provider is permitted to cancel future sessions and terminate the working relationship with the client.
Parents/guardians agree to provide a quiet and appropriate learning environment for online sessions.
Limitations/Liability
Our tutors will make every effort to support student learning, but we do not guarantee specific academic outcomes or grades.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updates will be posted on our website, and continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any changes.
